Transport Operator
Role Overview
As a Transport Operator, you will play a key role in coordinating import shipments and ensuring customs clearances, deliveries and transport arrangements run smoothly. Working closely with customs brokers, planning teams and end users, you will help maintain efficient operations while providing excellent customer service and ensuring all orders and documentation are managed accurately.
You will be responsible for
Organising import customs clearances and liaising with customs brokers to ensure shipments are processed efficiently.
Booking deliveries and communicating with end users to coordinate delivery schedules and provide updates.
Creating and processing orders, ensuring all information is accurate and up to date.
Liaising with the planning team to arrange transport and ensure the timely movement of goods.
Handling customer enquiries via email and telephone, working collaboratively within a small team to deliver a high standard of service.
About you
You’ll be organised, proactive and keen to learn, with good time management skills and the ability to work well as part of a small team. No formal qualifications or previous experience are required, as full training will be provided. Any previous experience in transport or logistics would be beneficial, but most importantly, you’ll have a positive attitude, strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn and develop within the role.
