Job Summary
On behalf of Huawei, a world-renowned IT and Communications Company, We are seeking a skilled Transmission Maintenance Engineer to support the operation and maintenance of transmission networks.
The role focuses on ensuring network reliability through fault handling, preventive maintenance, and continuous performance optimization across transmission systems.
Required & Preferred Skills
- Minimum 5 years of experience in transmission/network maintenance
- Strong knowledge of SDH, DWDM, and microwave transmission systems
- Hands-on experience in fault troubleshooting and network operations support
- Familiarity with NOC operations and alarm management systems
- Exposure to telecom vendors (e.g., Huawei) is an advantage
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in dynamic and fast-paced environments
Key Responsibilities
- Perform first-line maintenance and fault troubleshooting on transmission equipment (SDH, DWDM, microwave) to ensure system reliability
- Monitor, receive, and respond to network alarms and faults from the NOC (Network Operations Center)
- Coordinate with field engineers and cross-functional teams to ensure timely fault resolution and service restoration
- Execute preventive maintenance activities, including health checks and performance monitoring
- Analyze network performance and propose optimization and improvement initiatives
- Support network upgrades, cutovers, and capacity expansion activities
- Maintain accurate documentation, including spare parts database and maintenance reports
- Ensure familiarity and operational understanding of SDH, DWDM, and microwave transmission technologies
- Work with transmission equipment from vendors such as Huawei (preferred exposure)
Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, or Communication Engineering
