Description
The City of Frankfort is currently seeking a dedicated Transit Driver to join our Public Works team. This full-time position operates out of our new facility and involves operating City passenger vehicles following designated routes or demand-response ADA routing. Key responsibilities include ensuring passenger safety, performing pre-trip vehicle inspections, and maintaining accurate logs. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including:
3% longevity pay every three years in addition to COLAs
50% employer match on up to 4% of employee 457 or 401k contributions
Health, dental, vision, and life insurance with low or no employee premium
Membership in the Kentucky Public Pension Authority (KPPA) starting in the second year

Requirements
- Position Requirements: - High School diploma or equivalent - A valid Commonwealth of Kentucky Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with passenger and air brake endorsements is preferred (or must be obtained within three months of hire) - One year of experience driving a bus or similar vehicle is preferred - Successful completion of a drug test and background check
