JOB TITLE: Transit Driver

All (HCT) Hancock Transit Drivers must meet the following qualifications

• Be a Minium of 25 years old.
• Be physical and mentally capable of performing all aspects of the job and pass DOT Drug and Medical Exams.
• Have a valid driver’s license.
• Have a current Division of Motor Vehicles record DMVR annually with no violations within the past year and no drunk driving or reckless driving convictions.
• Have no felony or substance abuse convictions or any history of child molestation or abuse.
• Must speak, read, write and understand English Language.
• Attend CPR, First Aid, Defensive Driving, (PASS) Passenger Assistance Safety and Sensitivity training and any other training sessions when needed

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist passengers with boarding and alighting (including those using wheelchairs, scooters, walkers and any other
• mobility assistance). Complete pre-trips, vehicle inspections, adheres to assigned schedules, maintains accurate
• records and reports, and ensures the safety and comfort of all passengers. Drivers are responsible for the safety of
• transporting participants to and from destinations with priority given to the needs of the elderly and local citizens.
