Trainee Dental Nurse

Role Overview

Hours and Shifts

• This is a full-time role requiring 38.5 hours per week.
• Typical shifts run Monday through Friday, with start times between 07.45 and 08.45 and finish times between 16.15 and 17.15.

Pay and Training

• The rate of pay is £12.71 per hour, described as the apprentice minimum wage.
• Training is fully funded by PortmanDentex and overseen by an external course provider.

Responsibilities

• Provide chair-side assistance during clinical sessions.
• Ensure the correct materials and equipment are available for each clinical session.
• Learn and perform high-quality dental nursing.
• Assist each dentist, hygienist, or therapist during all procedures.
• Help deliver excellent standards of patient care.

Requirements

• GCSE Maths and English at grade C/4 or above are essential to undertake the course.
• Applicants should enjoy teamwork, communicate well, and be committed to excellent patient care.
• Applicants should be comfortable learning dental nursing while assisting clinical professionals.
