Trading Assistant, Trading

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline.
• MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification in Business Analytics, Finance, or a related field would be an advantage.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in trading support, investment operations, equity research, broking, dealing, or a related area.
• Candidates with less experience may be considered for the position of Junior Trading Assistant.
• Sound understanding of equity markets, derivatives, futures, options, investment products, and basic risk-management concepts.
• Active interest or practical exposure to equity derivatives and options trading would be preferred.
• Experience in preparing investment proposals, conducting financial-product analysis, or evaluating client financial profiles would be an advantage.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, including formulas, lookups, pivot tables, data analysis, and report preparation.
• Familiarity with trading terminals, market-data platforms, order-management systems, or portfolio-management systems would be beneficial.
• Knowledge of mutual funds, ELSS, NPS, insurance products, tax-saving instruments, and basic financial planning would be an advantage.
• Strong analytical, quantitative, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work accurately under time-sensitive conditions.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a trading or investment team.
• Self-motivated, disciplined, proactive, and willing to learn.
• Excellent command of both spoken and written English.
• NISM, NSE Academy, CFA, or other relevant capital-markets certification would be an advantage.
