Role overview

Trading Analyst in the iD Mobile Acquisitions team, supporting customer acquisition and profitability across Currys, Carphone Warehouse, and idmobile.co.uk.

The role works with the SIMO Trading Manager and uses performance data and commercial understanding to inform decisions.

The role is permanent and full-time.

Responsibilities

  • Support SIMO tariff portfolio management, pricing, promotional planning, and trading analysis.
  • Prepare daily and weekly sales reports and identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Improve and automate reporting with Business Intelligence teams.
  • Analyze channel performance and identify acquisition and growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate across Digital, Affiliate, Marketing, Go To Market, and Operations teams.
  • Maintain pricing accuracy, challenge assumptions, and recommend actions based on competitors and market trends.

Candidate requirements

  • Proven commercial, trading, or analytical experience; relevant retail, telecoms, ecommerce, or customer-focused experience is ideal.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills, advanced Excel, and experience with sales and performance reporting.
  • Commercial understanding of pricing, promotions, acquisition, and profitability.
  • Confident communicator able to build relationships and influence stakeholders.
  • SQL, Power BI, or similar visualization tools are advantageous.

Workplace

  • Hybrid working from the Currys London Campus at Waterloo, with an expectation to meet in person two to four times per month.
