Trade Finance Officer

About This Role

DNA Financeiro is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Trade Finance Officer to join our finance operations team in Doha. This role is responsible for managing trade finance transactions, ensuring compliance with banking regulations, and supporting smooth execution of import/export financial processes. The ideal candidate brings strong knowledge of trade finance instruments and a disciplined, accuracy-driven approach to financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle end-to-end trade finance transactions including letters of credit (LCs), bank guarantees, bills for collection, and trade loans
• Coordinate with banks, clients, and internal teams to ensure timely processing of trade documentation
• Review and verify trade documents for accuracy and compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements
• Monitor import/export transactions and ensure adherence to international trade finance standards (UCP 600, ISBP, etc.)
• Maintain accurate records of all trade finance activities and related documentation
• Support cash flow planning and working capital management through trade instruments
• Resolve discrepancies and issues related to trade documentation or banking processes
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, AML regulations, and banking policies
• Prepare periodic reports on trade finance exposure and transaction status

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
• Proven experience in trade finance, banking operations, or corporate finance
• Strong understanding of international trade finance instruments and regulations
• Excellent attention to detail and document verification skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial systems
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
• Good communication and coordination skills with banks and stakeholders

Preferred Skills:

• Experience working with corporate banking or financial institutions
• Knowledge of import/export procedures and customs documentation
• Familiarity with SWIFT messaging and trade finance platforms
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
