Overview
You will responsible for delivering efficient and professional front-of-house ticketing, sales, and visitor service operations while ensuring an exceptional visitor experience.
The role supports daily ticketing activities, cash handling, event operations, and revenue management in compliance with organizational policies and financial procedures.
The position also assists in the coordination and operational delivery of public programs, special events, exhibitions, and VIP functions to ensure seamless visitor engagement and operational excellence.
Ticketing & Sales Operations
- Operate ticketing systems efficiently for admission sales, memberships, group bookings, educational visits, and special events.
- Process ticket purchases, refunds, exchanges, and upgrades accurately in accordance with organizational procedures.
- Promote exhibitions, memberships, retail offers, programs, and visitor experiences to maximize revenue opportunities.
- Assist visitors with inquiries related to ticketing, pricing, schedules, accessibility, and organizational services.
- Ensure all ticketing counters, kiosks, and visitor service areas are organized, presentable, and operational at all times.
- Support online ticketing, reservations, and visitor registration processes where applicable.
Cash Handling & Financial Control
- Perform daily cash handling activities including cash collection, float preparation, balancing, and reconciliation.
- Ensure accurate processing of cash, card, and digital transactions while maintaining strict financial accountability.
- Prepare end-of-shift and daily sales reconciliation reports and escalate discrepancies when required.
- Maintain compliance with financial policies, audit requirements, and internal control procedures.
- Support finance teams during audits, reporting exercises, and revenue verification processes.
Events Operations & Coordination
- Support the operational delivery of exhibitions, educational programs, corporate events, VIP visits, and public events.
- Coordinate ticketing and visitor flow management for special events and high-volume attendance periods.
- Assist in event setup, registration, guest coordination, and front-of-house event operations.
- Liaise with internal departments including operations, security, facilities, visitor services, and events teams to ensure smooth event execution.
- Monitor attendance, guest access, and operational readiness during events and public programs.
- Support crowd management and maintain service quality standards during peak operational periods and events.
Systems, Reporting & Administration
- Maintain accurate ticketing records, visitor statistics, and transaction reports using ticketing and POS systems.
- Monitor ticketing system functionality and report technical issues promptly.
- Assist in generating daily, weekly, and monthly sales, attendance, and event reports for management review.
- Support data analysis related to visitor trends, sales performance, and operational efficiency.
& Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business Administration, Hospitality, Tourism, Retail, Event Management, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in ticketing, cashiering, visitor services, sales operations, events operations, hospitality, or customer service environments.
- Experience in cash handling, reconciliation, POS systems, and financial transaction management is essential.
- Experience within museums, cultural institutions, entertainment venues, attractions, or tourism destinations is preferred.
