🚨 We're Hiring: Substation Testing & Commissioning Engineer ⚡
📍 Location: QATAR
🏢 Department: Project Management Division
👨💼 Reporting To: Manager – Projects
🕒 Experience Required: 3–4 Years
Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer with expertise in Substation Testing & Commissioning?
We are looking for a skilled and motivated professional to join our Projects team and contribute to the successful execution of power infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
✅ Conduct site and factory visits to understand project requirements for substation testing and commissioning.
✅ Prepare testing & commissioning schedules, method statements, and HSE documentation.
✅ Execute testing and commissioning activities for substation equipment as per approved procedures.
✅ Prepare and submit testing reports and ensure approvals/sign-offs from clients and consultants.
✅ Troubleshoot and resolve issues during testing and commissioning activities.
✅ Supervise and train team members involved in testing and commissioning works.
✅ Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
✅ Prepare site visit reports, progress reports, and project documentation.
✅ Plan and schedule testing and commissioning activities effectively.
✅ Ensure site cleanliness, safety compliance, and proper maintenance of tools and test equipment.
Educational Qualification
🎓 Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
Experience & Technical Expertise
- Minimum 3–4 years of hands-on experience in testing and commissioning of:
- Current Transformers (CT), Voltage Transformers (VT), CVTs
• Power & Control Cables
- Switchgear – ACB, VCB, GIS, AIS, Earth Switches, Isolators, MCCBs, MCC Equipment, Busbars
- Power Transformers
- Control & Protection Schemes including:
• Trip Logic Testing
- Interlocking Schemes
- Synchronization Schemes
- Auto-Reclosure Schemes
🔹 Test Equipment Handling & Maintenance
🔹 Computer Literacy
🔹 Knowledge of Electrical Tools & Instruments
