TES Engineering Technician

The Department of Biosystems Engineering at Auburn University is seeking candidates for a TES Engineering Technician position.

The selected candidate will provide technical assistance with ongoing projects; examples include, but are not limited to, providing electrical and electronic support and performing maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment.

Essential functions but not limited to the following:

• Provide electrical and electronic support
• Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment
• Assist with installation and fabrication of equipment
• Assist with preparing specification and parts lists, and procure parts and supplies for fabrication shop
• Oversees the cleanliness and presentability of Biosystems Engineering laboratories
• Assist with managing Biosystems Engineering vehicle fleet
• Perform other duties as assigned by the department head
• Associate degree from an accredited institution in a technical or scientific field.
• Two years of experience in fabrication, equipment troubleshooting, and electrical systems
• Valid driver’s license
