Tendering Engineer

Job Summary

Tender & Bid Management

• Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, and BOQs
• Analyze tender requirements, scope of work, and contractual conditions
• Prepare complete and accurate tender submissions within deadlines
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits

Cost Estimation & Quantity Take-Off

• Perform detailed quantity take-offs from drawings
• Prepare cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontract works
• Develop pricing strategies to ensure competitiveness and profitability
• Evaluate risks and include contingencies where necessary

Vendor & Subcontractor Coordination

• Request, analyze, and compare quotations from suppliers and subcontractors
• Negotiate prices and technical compliance where required
• Ensure alignment of supplier offers with tender specifications

Technical & Commercial Evaluation

• Prepare technical and commercial clarifications
• Assist in value engineering proposals
• Ensure compliance with client, statutory, and company requirements

Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare tender summaries, cost breakdowns, and bid reports
• Maintain tender records, pricing databases, and cost benchmarks
• Support post-tender clarifications and negotiations

Coordination & Support

• Coordinate with design, planning, procurement, and project teams
• Assist project teams during handover after tender award

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in

Civil Engineering

Construction Engineering

• , or related field
• Professional certifications (PMP, RICS, AACE) are an advantage

Experience

• 3–8 years of experience in tendering/estimation within construction projects
• Experience in
• building, infrastructure, MEP, or EPC projects
• preferred

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of construction methods and materials
• Proficiency in estimation software and tools (e.g., Excel, Primavera, CostX, Candy)
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
• Excellent time management and attention to detail
