Temporary Instructor 9 Mo

Nine (9) month undergraduate nontenure-track faculty position in the ACEN accredited A-State School of Nursing. Participation in teaching, student advising, professional service is expected; scholarly activity desired. This position is full-time at the rank of instructor.

Accepts delegated appropriate assignments and responsibilities

Accepts responsibility for assessing student learning and evaluating student learning outcomes

Actively participates in development, revision, and evaluation of curriculum, course content, clinical experiences, and test construction

Is responsible for didactic courses and/or clinical group size appropriate to area of clinical practice

Plans and supervises clinical seminars

Establishes effective coordinating relationships with co-workers and clinical agencies

Continues education for professional growth

Participates in academic advising and guidance of students

Maintains office hours as required by the college

Participates in the faculty organization and appropriate program, college and university activities

Sponsors and promotes planned activities of students, program, college and university as requested

Contributes to the community through involvement in and/or consultation to health related organizations, board memberships, or professional presentations to the public

Participates in planning for the continued growth and progress of the program through faculty and student recruitment and retention efforts

Holds membership and participates in organizations that advance the profession of nursing and advanced practice nursing, such as the ANA or other professional organizations

Monday - Friday Hours vary depending on teaching and/or clinical rotation assignments; faculty organization; and appropriate program, college and university activities. Additional hours as requested and/or needed Regular and reliable attendance

The duties are performed during standard work hours of 8am-5pm at a predefined and approved work location.
