Overview
Responsible for monitoring and managing telematics systems across the trucking fleet to support operational visibility, compliance, safety, and performance management.
The role focuses on tracking live fleet activity, analyzing telematics data, generating operational insights, and escalating exceptions or alerts requiring action.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor live telematics systems for truck location, movement, idling, route adherence, speed, and utilization
- Track and escalate operational alerts including harsh driving, over-speeding, unauthorized stoppages, geofence deviations, and system exceptions
- Analyze telematics and fleet performance data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and operational improvement opportunities
- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports on fleet utilization, driver behavior, fuel efficiency, turnaround time, and compliance metrics
- Coordinate with Operations, Fleet Management, and Driver Management teams on corrective actions and follow-ups
- Ensure telematics devices, tracking systems, and data feeds are operational and escalated when offline or faulty
- Support incident investigations through trip history, tracking logs, and telematics data analysis
- Maintain dashboards, KPI tracking, and operational reporting for management review
Preferred Skills / Experience
- Experience with telematics platforms, fleet tracking systems, or transport management systems (TMS)
- Strong analytical and reporting capabilities (Excel, Power BI preferred)
- Understanding of fleet operations, trucking movements, and driver performance monitoring
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage real-time operational monitoring
- Ability to work in a fast-paced 24x7 operational environment
