Positions overview

Telecommunications engineering

• Design, implement, maintain, and optimize telecommunications networks and communication systems.
• Evaluate network requirements, configure communication equipment, monitor signals, and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
• Review configurations, conduct technical assessments, support infrastructure upgrades, and prepare engineering documentation.
• Evaluate equipment, identify performance issues, optimize communication resources, and meet technical and operational standards.

Cybersecurity engineering

• Protect information systems, networks, applications, and digital assets against threats and vulnerabilities.
• Assess security risks, implement controls, monitor activity, and investigate potential incidents.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments, review access permissions, support security testing, and evaluate security configurations.
• Maintain incident documentation and contribute to threat detection, risk mitigation, security awareness, and improved safeguards.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in telecommunications engineering, electrical engineering, computer engineering, cybersecurity, information technology, or a related technical discipline.
• Strong knowledge of networking principles, system architecture, troubleshooting, infrastructure management, TCP/IP, routing, switching, firewalls, and network security fundamentals.
• Telecommunications-role familiarity with telecommunications systems, wireless networks, communication protocols, and performance monitoring is advantageous.
• Cybersecurity-role knowledge of information security, threat analysis, vulnerability assessment, and controls is beneficial; familiarity with monitoring tools, intrusion detection, scanners, or incident response is an advantage.
• Ability to analyze problems, assess risks, and implement practical solutions; proficiency in Microsoft Office and technical documentation tools.
• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills; attention to detail and willingness to learn emerging practices.
