Telecom Infrastructure Administrator required for Qatar
Job Purpose
Banking domain experience is mandatory
The Senior Telecom / Collaboration Administrator is responsible for the administration, design, implementation, and support of the Group’s telecom and collaboration infrastructure.
This role ensures the continuous availability, performance, and security of telecom systems while coordinating with internal teams and external service providers.
& Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Communications Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in telecom systems support.
Experience
in financial institutions is an added advantage.
Relevant professional training or certifications in telecom and collaboration systems.
Required Skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Arabic.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Self-motivated with proven leadership and team management skills.
Ability to work under pressure in a 24/7 operational environment.
1. Telecom Infrastructure Management
Administer, design, and support telecom and collaboration systems, including:
IP Telephony systems
PSTN / PRI / SIP telephony lines
ADSL lines
Voice recording systems
Video conferencing systems
Structured cabling (internal and external networks)
Ensure high availability and optimal performance of telecom systems across all Group locations.
2. Operations & Support
Provide both on-site and remote technical support for telecom systems and equipment.
Monitor telecom infrastructure to ensure uninterrupted 24/7 operations.
Coordinate with the Infrastructure Department for smooth system functioning.
Maintain and update telecom system documentation.
4. Projects & Continuous Improvement
Participate in and manage telecom-related projects, ensuring adherence to requirements, timelines, and quality standards.
Evaluate existing telecom systems and recommend enhancements or upgrades.
Implement and enforce approved telecom policies and standards.
5. Compliance & Governance
Ensure compliance with telecom regulations, internal policies, and industry standards.
Maintain proper documentation for audit and regulatory purposes.
Safeguard sensitive business information through strict confidentiality practices.
6. Learning & Development
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of telecom technologies, monitoring tools, and industry best practices.
Continuously enhance technical expertise to ensure reliable service delivery and system security.
Identify and pursue opportunities for professional development.
