The Role
We are seeking an experienced **Technology Operations Engineer – Digital Payments / FinTech** to support critical financial technology solutions.
The role is responsible for ensuring the availability, reliability, security, and performance of payment systems while adhering to ITSM processes and operational excellence standards within a financial services environment.
The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in payment ecosystems, APIs, security frameworks, digital banking technologies, and enterprise operations management.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and maintain systems related to digital payments, wallets, and FinTech platforms.
- Manage and support containerized platforms, including deployment, orchestration, scaling, and troubleshooting.
- Administer and optimize web services, including reverse proxy, load balancing, and traffic routing.
- Perform advanced Linux system administration (RHEL/SUSE).
- Monitor system performance, availability, capacity, and overall operational health.
- Ensure high availability, business continuity, and disaster recovery readiness.
- Manage the complete Incident Management lifecycle (L1–L3) in alignment with ITIL standards.
- Lead Major Incident management activities, including bridge calls and stakeholder communications.
- Review Root Cause Analysis (RCA) reports and implement preventive and corrective actions.
- Monitor and maintain operational SLAs, KPIs, and service reporting.
- Govern Change Management processes, including impact assessments, approvals, and rollback planning.
- Execute Release Management activities, including deployments, validations, and production support.
- Coordinate with application development, QA, infrastructure, security, and business teams.
- Ensure compliance and operational readiness during production releases.
- Maintain compliance with audit, security, regulatory, and governance requirements.
- Develop and maintain SOPs, runbooks, operational procedures, and technical documentation.
- Drive continual service improvement initiatives across the technology landscape.
- Ensure payment platforms comply with PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Evaluate and recommend technologies, platforms, and frameworks to support business growth and digital transformation initiatives.
- Conduct technology reviews, technical assessments, architecture evaluations, and risk assessments.
- Manage relationships with technology partners, vendors, and service providers.
- Prepare and deliver weekly and monthly governance presentations covering operational performance, service metrics, risks, and improvement initiatives.

- High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) Solutions
- OCI (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure) and/or Microsoft Azure experience is an added advantage
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Master's Degree and/or relevant professional certifications will be an advantage.
Experience Requirements
- 8–12+ years of experience in technology operations, production support, or technology implementation roles.
- Minimum 5 years of experience within Digital Payments, FinTech, Banking, or Financial Services environments.
- Proven experience supporting large-scale payment platforms and mission-critical financial technology solutions.
- Strong understanding of payment processing, transaction lifecycles, settlement, reconciliation, and financial operations.
- Solid knowledge of regulatory compliance, information security, and operational risk management within financial services.
- Experience working with banks, payment service providers (PSPs), FinTech organizations, and regulatory stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex production environments with high transaction volumes and stringent availability requirements.
- Pay: AED21,000.00 - AED23,000.00 per month

- Have you supported a production Digital Payments, Wallet, Payment Gateway, Banking, or FinTech platform for at least 5 years?
- Do you have hands-on experience administering and troubleshooting Kubernetes and Docker environments in production, including deployments, scaling, and incident resolution?
- Have you managed critical production incidents (P1/P2), led bridge calls, performed Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and implemented preventive actions within an ITIL framework?
- Do you have experience supporting secure payment systems and ensuring compliance with PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, or financial industry security standards?
- Have you worked on payment transaction flows including authorization, routing, settlement, reconciliation, API integrations, and troubleshooting transaction failures?
- Do you have hands-on experience with Linux administration (RHEL/SUSE), Web Servers/Reverse Proxies, and Load Balancing in high-availability environments?
- Have you supported cloud-hosted payment platforms on AWS, Azure, OCI, or GCP and participated in Disaster Recovery (DR) testing or execution?

- THE COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS PACKAGE OF THIS ROLE IS NON-NEGOTIABLE AND WE ENSURE OUR TRANSPARENCY IN IT AS WELL. The gross salary is maximum 21,000-23,000 AED with company provided visa, health insurance and yearly airfare. Do you agree to this?
