We are seeking a Technology Content Editor & Writer to join our team, with strong Arabic and English writing skills. This is an editorial-first role focused on producing high-quality technology and business content, while also contributing to copywriting, press releases, marketing-related content, and social media content creation across MENA TECH and its brands. The role also involves participating in content ideation, scriptwriting, and creating platform-optimized content for digital and social media channels.

Responsibilities

Content Creation & Editorial Oversight

• Research, write, and edit technology and business news, articles, and blog content in Arabic and English.
• Write and edit press releases in both languages.
• Cover regional and global technology topics, including areas such as AI, consumer electronics, cybersecurity, enterprise IT, digital transformation, and emerging technologies.
• Review and edit content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and adherence to editorial standards.
• Contribute to editorial reviews and analytical content when required.
• Handle the editorial coverage of relevant technology and business events, including pre-event preparation, live coverage (online or on-site), and post-event content.
• Stay informed about current technology and business trends.

Social Media & Content Repurposing

• Create and contribute to social media content formats, including short-form videos, captions, scripts, reels, and platform-specific storytelling.
• Write scripts for social media content, including short-form video formats.
• Repurpose editorial content for use across social media platforms.
• Support content publishing, live coverage, and post-event content.
• Plan and execute the required social media coverage for events across relevant platforms, aligned with editorial content and publishing timelines.

Copywriting, PR & Marketing Content

• Write marketing, PR, and promotional copy for MENA TECH and its brands
• (including, but not limited to, advertising copy, website content, campaigns, newsletters, and brand materials).
• Produce clear and effective creative content aligned with brand tone and messaging.
• Support PR and brand communications as needed.

Tools & Workflow

• Work with content management systems and digital publishing tools.
• Use AI tools to support content workflows, including idea development, content enhancement, structuring, and repurposing.
• Apply AI as a productivity tool while maintaining editorial judgment and originality.
• Collaborate with editors, designers, and social media team members.

Requirements & Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in content writing, digital journalism, or social media.
• Strong Arabic and English writing and editing skills.
• Experience writing news articles, blog content, and press releases.
• Interest and working knowledge of technology and business topics.
• Familiarity with social media content formats and scriptwriting.
• Ability to work across editorial, marketing, PR, and social media content.
• Comfortable participating in short-form content production, including scriptwriting, filming coordination, voice-over, or on-camera appearances when required.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced media environment.
