Placement programme

Disney is hiring for 12-month undergraduate placements across multiple Technology and IT teams and lines of business.

Applicants may be considered for one of several areas and can state a preference in their cover letter.

The placements provide hands-on participation in team activities and technology operations.

Potential team responsibilities

  • Monitor technology systems and help resolve issues and queries.
  • Support business applications, system analysis, service delivery and stakeholder expectations.
  • Participate in software and system testing, including full-lifecycle testing.
  • Help develop platform and software solutions aligned with business strategies.
  • Support cybersecurity risk analysis, mitigation, reporting and security guidance.
  • Support supply-chain technology operations; contribute to solution design, testing and system architecture reviews.
  • Improve troubleshooting, knowledge management, reporting and workflows, with exposure to AI and automation.

Eligibility

  • Must be a second-year undergraduate student on a placement-year course and return to study after the placement.

Placement areas

  • Areas include Disney Consumer Products IT systems and business applications, Quality Analyst testing, Solutions Engineering, Platform and Software Engineering, Information Security and supply-chain technology.
  • Some placements offer opportunities to develop coding skills in Java and Python; these are not stated as universal requirements.

Work arrangements

  • Most roles in the Information Technology remit are office-based, with four days in the Hammersmith, London office and one day working from home.
  • Some roles are offered remotely; arrangements vary by placement.
