Technician - Production [ISBM & IM]

Role overview

Production and equipment duties

• Prepare for mould changes to minimize change time.
• Load moulds according to SOPs and set machines and processes to product specifications.
• Support production targets through effective process control.
• Monitor active machines, identify abnormalities, and take corrective action when needed.
• Clean and maintain change parts and mould accessories after production; store them properly with identification.
• Ensure material-handling equipment is cleaned regularly.
• Check and lubricate mould moving parts and maintain daily records.
• Perform minor maintenance and assist with general maintenance as needed.

Quality, safety, and team support

• Perform in-process quality checks and accurate machine and process settings to support production efficiency.
• Verify product specifications and obtain Quality and Production supervisor approval on production data sheets during mould and job changes.
• Maintain mould history cards and report required work to the supervisor or Production Executive.
• Prioritize safety during mould changes, identify potential hazards, and take measures to prevent incidents.
• Follow company HSE guidelines in all operations.
• Observe shop-floor SOP compliance and provide on-the-job training.
• Train, mentor, and direct machine operators on equipment, processes, and procedures.
• Perform other tasks assigned by the Production Supervisor to support department objectives.

Qualifications and experience

• CIPET with plastics-processing background or ITI; if neither qualification is held, five to six years of hands-on plastics manufacturing experience is specified.
• Two to four years of technical manufacturing experience, preferably in industrial products, plastics, or packaging.
• Hands-on experience with ISBM and IM technology.
• Knowledge of production processes and mould changing or setting.
• Special training in plastic production is preferred.
• Mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic equipment knowledge or experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of related machines and their operation is preferred.

Workplace

• The role includes equipment and shop-floor production duties.
