Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Network Cabling Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair structured cabling systems for data, voice, and network infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will have experience with copper and fiber optic cabling, cable testing, termination, and network infrastructure deployments.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, terminate, and test Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A, and fiber optic cabling.
- Perform cable routing, dressing, labeling, and documentation according to industry standards.
- Install network racks, cabinets, patch panels, cable trays, and conduits.
- Conduct cable testing and certification using appropriate testing tools.
- Troubleshoot and resolve cabling and connectivity issues.
- Read and interpret network diagrams, floor plans, and technical drawings.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of cabling installations and modifications.
- Support network equipment installations, including switches, routers, and wireless access points.
- Coordinate with network engineers and project teams during deployments and upgrades.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or ITI in Electronics, Telecommunications, Networking, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in structured cabling installations.
- Knowledge of copper and fiber optic cabling standards.
- Experience with cable termination, splicing, and testing tools.
- Familiarity with TIA/EIA cabling standards.
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces when required.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with data center cabling projects.
- Fiber optic certification or structured cabling certification.
- Knowledge of LAN/WAN infrastructure.
- Experience with CCTV, access control, and low-voltage systems is an advantage.
Working Conditions
- Field-based work at customer sites, offices, and data centers.
- May require travel and occasional after-hours support.
- Ability to lift and carry networking equipment and cabling materials.
- Pay: AED2,000.00 - AED2,500.00 per month
