Role overview

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer needs and concerns promptly and provide a high level of customer service.
• Handle high call volumes and promptly solve problems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and respond to equipment breakdown calls with attention to detail.
• Train operators when required by clients.
• Keep the service vehicle clean and organized and monitor inventory levels.
• Complete tasks assigned by the service coordinator and other duties supporting business goals.
• Work independently, unsupervised, and as part of a team.
• Work at factories, warehouses, retail locations, and other customer sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bilingual in English and French to communicate with head office, vendors, and suppliers.
• Secondary school completion or equivalent and a valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean abstract.
• Three to five years of technical experience in a mobile equipment environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of material and labour costs and inventory management.
• Detail-oriented; able to work under pressure, solve problems, and work well with others.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and customer service skills.
• Cleaning equipment repair experience and cleaning industry knowledge are assets.
• Able to read and interpret electrical schematics and use electrical testing meters.

Travel and working conditions

• Travel may reach 80% of the time, including frequent travel within and outside the designated territory.
• Some out-of-province and overnight travel may be required; long periods of driving are required.
