Role

Diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance

• Use diagnostic equipment to identify issues in mechanical and electrical systems, inspect vehicles, and determine causes of malfunctions.
• Repair or replace faulty engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical components, and other parts.
• Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks.
• Follow repair manuals and technical specifications; use computerized systems to diagnose issues and record repair information.

Customer service and records

• Explain repair options, costs, and timelines to customers and address their inquiries and concerns professionally.
• Maintain records of repairs, parts, labor hours, diagnostic findings, repair orders, and work performed.
• Coordinate with service advisors and the parts department on progress updates, billing, and parts ordering.

Quality, safety, and collaboration

• Meet dealership and manufacturer quality and safety standards; conduct post-repair inspections and correct identified defects.
• Follow safety protocols and properly handle and dispose of hazardous materials and repair waste.
• Collaborate with technicians and staff to support efficient workflow and customer satisfaction.
• Keep up to date with automotive technology, repair techniques, and diagnostic methods through ongoing training.

Role requirements

• Ability to diagnose vehicle mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Ability to perform vehicle repairs and routine maintenance and follow repair manuals and technical specifications.
• Ability to use computerized systems to diagnose issues and document repair work.
• Professional customer communication and accurate record keeping.
• Adherence to repair quality standards and safety procedures, including hazardous-material handling.
