Responsibilities

• Our newest opportunity is for a talented **Technical Transator**, seconded to our Client from government sector in **Doha, Qatar**.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for providing accurate written translation and interpretation services, translating a wide range of technical, business, and administrative documents between English and Arabic.
• This includes correspondence, reports, forms, articles, technical manuals, and other instructional materials, while ensuring accuracy, consistency, confidentiality, and preservation of the original meaning and intent.
• We envisage success in this role to include;* Translating technical, business, legal and operational documents from Arabic to English and vice versa, ensuring accuracy, consistency and preservation of the original meaning, intent and tone.
• Reviewing, proofreading, editing and finalizing translated materials prepared by internal teams and external providers.
• Ensuring translated content complies with established standards for terminology, clarity, style, formatting and quality.
• Researching and applying appropriate legal, technical and industry-specific terminology to support translation assignments.
• Liaising with subject matter experts to ensure technical accuracy and consistency across translated documents.
• Developing, maintaining and enhancing translation guidelines, reference materials and terminology databases.
• Preparing translation reports, records and supporting documentation as required.
• Maintaining strict confidentiality of sensitive company documents, information and correspondence.
• Supporting knowledge sharing initiatives and mentoring junior translators where required.
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of translation processes, tools and quality standards.
• Supporting additional translation and language-related assignments in line with business requirements.

Qualifications

• To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include **5+ years experience in technical translation (prefereably realted to railways and transportation)** partnered with Bachelor's Degree inTranslation, Languages, Linguistics, Arabic, English or a related discipline.* Proven experience in Arabic-English translation within a technical, engineering, infrastructure, transportation or corporate environment.
• Native or near-native proficiency in both Arabic and English, with exceptional written communication skills.
• Strong understanding of technical, legal and business terminology.
• Excellent proofreading, editing and quality assurance skills.
• Proficiency in translation software and terminology management tools is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to manage multiple assignments within tight deadlines.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders and subject matter experts.
