Role
The Technical Superintendent is responsible for maintaining the technical condition of dry bulk vessels to high standards.
Responsibilities
- Conduct periodic inspections of vessel technical condition.
- Oversee safety, maintenance, and regulatory compliance.
- Manage supplies for proper operating expenditure management.
Qualifications
- Chief Engineer (Unlimited) Certificate of Competency.
- Minimum 5–10 years of sea service and 2–3 years sailing as a Chief Engineer with bulk carrier experience.
- At least three bulk carrier dry-docking experiences.
- Knowledge of BWTS, CII, EEXI, FuelEU, and EU ETS regulatory subjects.
- ISM internal auditor and dry dock project management certificates are preferred.
Required Skills
- Strong technical knowledge of vessel operations and familiarity with international maritime regulations.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with dry-docking projects.
