Role Description
This is a full-time Technical Service Engineer role based in Dubai with a hybrid work arrangement, combining on-site presence with some work-from-home flexibility.
The Technical Service Engineer will provide hands-on technical support for Hydwin Robotics’ semi-automatic surface preparation systems, including installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair at customer sites.
The role involves diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and control-related issues, performing root-cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions to maximize equipment uptime.
The engineer will respond to service requests, document technical issues and resolutions, and prepare clear service reports.
In addition, the role includes supporting customer training, gathering user feedback for product improvement, collaborating with engineering and operations teams, and helping refine best practices and safety procedures.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in Technical Services, including field service, equipment commissioning, and preventive maintenance for industrial or robotic systems.
- Strong Analytical Skills and problem-solving abilities to diagnose complex issues and perform root-cause analysis under time constraints.
- Hands-on Technical Support and Troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and control systems, preferably in industrial or heavy-duty environments.
- Clear and professional Communication skills for interacting with customers, writing service reports, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Relevant technical degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or a related engineering field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Comfort working in industrial and shipyard environments, including work-at-height and adherence to strict safety standards.
- Ability to work independently in the field, prioritize multiple service requests, and manage time effectively in a hybrid work setting.
- Experience with robotics, automation, hydrojetting, or surface preparation equipment is an advantage.
- Willingness to travel locally and regionally as required to support customer sites.
