WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Review customer specifications and work with the Regional Sales Managers to understand customer needs
  • Act as primary contact with customers during the early stages of bid and proposal processes
  • Initiate bid BOM and coordinate with cell teams
  • Work with New Flyer functional teams (engineering, service, operations, finance, legal, aftermarket) to develop solutions for any gaps and customer needs
  • Work with the Supply team to ensure all costing of the BOM is completed, and quotes for required items are obtained
  • Collaborate with the Sales team to develop final pricing recommendation. Obtaining margin validation and securing all the necessary approvals
  • Prepare bid or proposal package, ensuring that the proposal is submitted within established departmental guidelines
  • Handle customer inquiries and follow up on open items related to technical definition
  • Maintain the sales funnel, CRM database and supporting documentation, including sales transaction report

Requirements

  • WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
  • Project management experience
  • Ability to read blueprint and technical specifications
  • Working knowledge of basic accounting and contractual terms and conditions
  • Working knowledge of heavy-duty transit bus architecture and components.
  • University degree in business or engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
