The Role

As a Technical Recruiter, you will act as a strategic talent advisor.

You will collaborate closely with our sales team, internal hiring managers, and clients to identify, attract, and deploy top-tier tech talent across a diverse spectrum of IT disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Agile Contract Response: Respond with urgency and precision to incoming client contract requirements across various IT sectors.
  • Strategic Sourcing: Proactively hunt and engage passive and active tech talent using LinkedIn, job boards, referrals, and creative out-of-the-box outreach.
  • Pipeline Architecture: Build and sustain robust talent pools for recurring technical skill sets across Ottawa and our national locations.
  • Full-Cycle Candidate Management: Source and screen resumes, conduct thorough technical interviews to evaluate candidates for both skill and cultural alignment, collect required documents and complete resume templating/branding.
  • Candidate Advocacy: Coordinate the end-to-end interview process, ensuring an exceptional, transparent, and professional candidate experience at every touchpoint.
  • Internal Growth Support: Partner with internal managers to understand organizational needs and source talent for PLATO’s internal roles.
  • Brand Ambassadorship: Represent PLATO at networking events, career fairs, and industry initiatives to champion our culture, mission, and career opportunities.
  • Process Innovation: Actively identify ways to optimize our recruitment workflows, operational efficiency, and overall candidate experience.

Requirements

  • Experience: 2+ years of proven success in a technical recruitment role.
  • Federal Sector Know-How: Experience supporting recruitment efforts and projects within the Government of Canada ecosystem.
  • Fast-Paced Fluency: Comfortable navigating a high-volume, rapidly changing needs.
  • Stakeholder Management: Demonstrated experience working directly with stakeholders to align expectations and coordinate logistics.
  • Clearance: Must be eligible to obtain a Government of Canada security clearance.
