Responsibilities

• Own delivery of technical initiatives such as feature development, data migrations, and infrastructure upgrades.
• Create project charters, risk registers, schedules, work breakdown structures, and other project artifacts; coordinate timelines, stakeholders, resources, and milestones.
• Translate business goals into detailed functional and technical requirements and explain technical constraints to leadership.
• Define scope, goals, and deliverables with stakeholders; control deliverable boundaries and manage scope creep.
• Ensure teams follow Agile frameworks and coding standards; mentor team members, direct Project Coordinators, and remove delivery blockers.
• Manage project budgets, variances, financial forecasts, profitability, invoicing, and contract compliance.
• Write and review statements of work, contracts, and amendments; serve as the main contact for customers, contracting officers, and procurement authorities.
• Lead client meetings and steering committees, provide project updates, coordinate resources across departments, and help answer customer technical questions.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and enforce security-program compliance; maintain audit-ready project records.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of progressive technical project management experience, preferably in defence, aerospace, or technology.
• Degree or diploma in computer science, technology, data science, or a similar field.
• Proficient with Jira and Confluence, Microsoft Office or Google Workspace, and project management software such as MS Project or Smartsheet.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and critical-thinking skills; ability to manage concurrent projects and deliver on time and within budget.
• Understand project triple constraints and the software development lifecycle.
• Able to handle sensitive, confidential, and classified information and eligible to attain and maintain Secret-level security classification.
• CAPM/PMP and Certified ScrumMaster or Agile-equivalent certifications are assets; previous military or defence-industry experience is also an asset.
• Able to provide a verifiable 10-year history of residence, employment, and/or education for federal background checks.

Work arrangement

• Hybrid work arrangement divides work between remote/home and office attendance.
• Preference is given to candidates from Calgary, Alberta.

Compensation and benefits

• Compensation range is $108,240–$155,760; cadence is not specified.
• Benefits include six weeks of paid vacation, a training and professional development allowance, medical, dental, and vision benefits, and an Employee Stock Option Plan.
