What you’ll be doing...
Our industry is more competitive than ever, and to stay on top, we focus on leading cross-functional teams, driving business growth, and uncovering new revenue generation opportunities. In this role, you’ll take innovative ideas and scale them into impactful solutions. You’ll be crafting a great environment by providing transparency, direction, and strategic leadership across teams, ensuring our projects directly improve profitability and long-term success.
As a key leader, you will be responsible for defining program goals, establishing operational frameworks, and driving large-scale initiatives from initial concept through execution. By closely collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders across engineering, operations, finance, and legal teams, you will optimize resource allocation, align project execution with strategic priorities, and deliver measurable business outcomes. You will oversee the technical project management lifecycle end-to-end—managing architectural discussions, identifying technical dependencies, mitigating risks, and ensuring technical deliverables adhere to the highest standards of quality, performance, and security.
Leading a technical team, reviewing work, and resolving operational blockers to grow the business.
Directing initiatives end-to-end, from initial discovery and business case design to architecture, implementation, testing, and continuous evaluation.
Driving strategic growth by expanding technical frameworks and scaling operations through executive reporting.
Overseeing technical project management for complex payment integrations and core infrastructure across different platforms.
Building continuous improvement frameworks and feedback loops to optimize workflows and transform team insights into business features.
Delivering strategic presentations on initiatives, updates, and outcomes to senior leadership and stakeholders.
What we’re looking for...
You are an ambitious technical leader who thrives on leveraging cutting-edge technologies to solve complex business challenges, streamline complex workflows, and deliver strategic executive results. You excel in fostering a culture of constant innovation, empowering cross-functional teams, and driving operational excellence. Unfazed by tight deadlines, technical complexity, or competing priorities, your adaptable leadership style enables you to evaluate architectural alternatives, mitigate risks, and decisively steer multi-faceted initiatives to success.
You’ll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
Eight or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.
Experience managing a team.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
A degree.
Experience interacting with business clients, interfacing organizations, and application development teams.
Knowledge of the software development process.
Experience leading a virtual or distributed team.
If Verizon and this role sound like a fit for you, we encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet every “even better” qualification listed above.
