To strengthen our development team, we are looking for a hands-on Technical Project Lead with strong backend expertise in PHP. This role combines technical leadership with active development work and requires a pragmatic, execution-focused mindset.

Your Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multiple software development projects in parallel
• Take ownership of technical decisions, architecture, and implementation
• Actively contribute to development (hands-on coding, primarily PHP backend)
• Develop and maintain backend systems using plain (vanilla) PHP
• Work with frontend technologies using vanilla JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
• Ensure code quality, performance, and maintainability across projects
• Collaborate closely with developers and stakeholders across teams
• Integrate and leverage AI tools (e.g. Copilot, ChatGPT) in development workflows
• Review code, mentor developers, and enforce best practices
• Ensure timely delivery and alignment with business goals

Your Profile

• Strong experience in backend development using pure PHP (no frameworks)
• Solid knowledge of vanilla JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
• Experience with additional programming languages (e.g. Python) is a plus
• Proven experience in leading technical projects and teams
• Hands-on mindset with the ability and willingness to actively code
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong understanding of software architecture and clean code principles
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools and workflows
• Structured, pragmatic, and solution-oriented working style
• Strong sense of ownership and responsibility
