Position overview

Work arrangement

• Hybrid work model with on-site presence four days per week at the Vancouver, BC office.

Compensation

• Annual compensation is CAD 115,000 to CAD 120,000, depending on experience and domain expertise, plus benefits.

Responsibilities

• Lead technology program planning and delivery, setting roadmaps, priorities, milestones, and release plans with partner teams.
• Drive Agile/Scrum processes, sprint planning, backlog management, governance, and cross-functional risk and dependency management.
• Provide SDLC technical oversight and work with development and QA teams to deliver quality products.
• Improve release practices and operational excellence; partner with DevOps on CI/CD, automation, monitoring, and scalability.
• Lead AWS cloud initiatives, report program metrics and executive dashboards, and facilitate technical design alignment.
• Coordinate vendors and external partners where applicable.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information technology, or related field.
• Eight or more years of relevant software delivery, engineering, QA, or technical program/project management experience.
• Three or more years in a Technical Program Manager, Engineering Manager, or similar leadership role.
• Hands-on experience in software development, software testing, QA, SDET, or application engineering.
• Strong SDLC, Agile, release management, technical communication, and large-scale program delivery experience.
• Track record delivering enterprise applications on time and within budget.

Technical skills

• Technical areas include application development, software testing, test automation, API and performance testing, microservices, and REST APIs.
• DevOps areas include CI/CD, Git platforms, Jenkins or similar tools, Docker, Kubernetes, and infrastructure as code.
• AWS services listed include EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS/Aurora, IAM, CloudWatch, VPC networking, Route 53, and CloudFormation.
• Program tools and practices include Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Jira, Confluence, risk and dependency management, resource planning, reporting, and vendor coordination.

Preferred qualifications

• Retail, apparel, fashion, e-commerce, supply chain, merchandising, POS, inventory, or omnichannel platform experience is preferred.
• Digital transformation or cloud migration experience and a software engineering, QA, SDET, technical lead, or solutions architect background are preferred.
• Retail systems such as OMS, WMS, ERP, PIM, and customer experience platforms are preferred areas of knowledge.
• AWS Solutions Architect, AWS Developer, AWS DevOps Engineer, PMP, PgMP, SAFe, Scrum Master, or equivalent certifications are preferred.
