Technical Program Manager, Forward Deployed Engineering

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Own priority-account cadence and coordinate account reviews with Sales leadership.
• Clarify handoffs and service expectations across FDE, solutions architecture, Sales, Product, engineering, capacity, and on-call.
• Manage account transitions, engineering escalations, and customer feedback to the product roadmap.
• Coordinate dedicated-capacity rollouts, cluster migrations, capacity reservations, and major launches.
• Measure and reduce engineering toil, protecting FDE time for platform work.
• Report account health, response times, toil, engineer load, and team health to leadership.
• Scale team enablement, certification, account balancing, runbook coverage, and hiring operations.
• Track dependencies and risks, drive mitigation, and communicate status through program reviews.

Requirements

• At least 5 years as a TPM or engineer-turned-TPM on infrastructure, cloud, or customer-facing technical programs.
• Technical fluency with ML infrastructure, Kubernetes, GPUs, and distributed systems.
• Experience coordinating programs across teams without formal authority.
• Able to structure escalations, close follow-ups, and communicate clearly with engineers and executives.
• Shows ownership and a preference for improving processes.

Preferred experience

• LLM inference experience is a strong plus.
• AI/ML infrastructure, solutions engineering, SRE, or forward-deployed team experience is a nice-to-have.

Compensation

• Compensation range is CAD 165,000 to CAD 330,000; pay cadence is not specified.
