Role overview

Responsibilities

• Define strategy for media ingest, playback, streaming pipelines, and device connection services.
• Use customer feedback, telemetry, and partner requirements to identify platform friction and opportunities.
• Set and optimize feature adoption, stream latency and performance, and usability KPIs.
• Drive backlog grooming, sprint commitments, and acceptance criteria with two engineering teams.
• Translate media and device capabilities into user stories and technical specifications.
• Own reliability, scalability, API stability, and defect prioritization alongside feature development.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of software or technical product management delivering enterprise software, SaaS, or complex platform applications.
• Technical understanding of video software and media streaming protocols, REST APIs, or software-based device integration frameworks.
• Proven Agile execution with software engineering teams; multiple squads preferred.
• Experience defining software KPIs, analyzing telemetry or usage data, and balancing technical debt and bug fixes with feature requests.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or Software Engineering, or equivalent practical software industry experience.
• Must live in the Greater Vancouver area and attend the office on a hybrid schedule.

Compensation

• Target base salary range is CAD $90,000–$110,000; actual pay depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

• The role is based in Vancouver, British Columbia, requires residence in the Greater Vancouver area, and follows a hybrid office schedule.
