Technical Product Manager

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Set strategy for media ingest, playback, streaming pipelines, and device connection services.
• Use customer feedback, application telemetry, and partner requirements to identify platform friction and opportunities.
• Define and optimize adoption, streaming performance, latency, and usability KPIs.
• Drive backlog grooming, sprint commitments, and acceptance criteria with two engineering teams.
• Translate media and device capabilities into user stories and technical specifications.
• Own reliability, scalability, API stability, and defect prioritization alongside feature development.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years in software or technical product management delivering enterprise software, SaaS, or complex platforms.
• Technical understanding of video software and media protocols, REST APIs, or software-based device integration frameworks.
• Proven Agile execution with software engineering teams; experience across multiple squads is preferred.
• Experience defining software KPIs, analyzing telemetry or usage data, and balancing technical debt and defects against feature requests.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or Software Engineering, or equivalent practical software industry experience.

Workplace

• The position is based in Vancouver, BC, and requires residence in the Greater Vancouver area.
• The role follows a hybrid office schedule.

Compensation

• Target base salary range is CAD 90,000–110,000; the posting does not specify a pay period.
