About BJAK

BJAK builds mobile-first financial products intended to help people plan, save, and grow their money.

The company is expanding across payments, remittance, insurance, wealth, trading, spending, investing, and travel.

Global teams work across offices and remote locations with colleagues from more than 20 nationalities.

The role

BJAK is building an AI stockbroking superapp for Southeast Asia across payments, remittance, insurance, wealth, and trading.

The products handle real money, making reliability, regulation, and third-party financial rails fundamental product requirements.

The Technical Product Manager owns a product vertical from strategy and outcomes through technical design, delivery, and launch.

The role requires deciding where AI improves outcomes and where deterministic systems must remain in control.

What you will own

  • Own product strategy, metrics, roadmap, priorities, and delivery for a product vertical.
  • Shape technical design across APIs, data flows, ledgering, reconciliation, failure handling, security, and scalability.
  • Balance correctness, speed, cost, reliability, regulation, and user experience.
  • Build requirements for KYC, transaction monitoring, limits, privacy, and licensing into the product.
  • Apply AI with evaluation, safeguards, human oversight, and failure handling.
  • Ship products involving regulatory approvals, financial rails, and third-party partners.
  • Align Engineering, Design, Compliance, Operations, Treasury, and Finance on product decisions and launch requirements.

What we are looking for

  • At least 5 years of product management experience, including complex technical products from strategy through production.
  • Strong technical knowledge of system architecture, APIs, databases, workflows, failure modes, and distributed systems.
  • Experience collaborating closely with engineers and contributing to technical design reviews.
  • Experience in payments, banking, remittance, insurance, trading, or another regulated high-consequence domain.
  • Strong judgment when making trade-offs under technical, regulatory, and operational constraints.
  • Experience building LLM or AI products, including evaluation and reliability decisions.
  • Strong English communication skills for work across global teams.

Nice to have

  • An engineering or highly technical product background is desirable.
  • Experience building zero-to-one fintech or consumer products is desirable.
  • Experience defining evaluation frameworks for ML- or LLM-powered products is desirable.

Expected outcomes

The product vertical has a clear strategy and an understandable roadmap.

Products ship quickly while clearing the requirements that block launch.

Money movement is correct and users are not misled about the state of their funds.

AI features are valuable, predictable, and trusted.

Trade-offs are deliberate under uncertainty and withstand challenge.

Engineering, design, compliance, and operations remain aligned with minimal friction.

Location and work style

  • This is a remote role open globally across multiple countries and time zones.
  • Candidates should work effectively in a distributed, fast-moving international team.

Interview process

  • The process includes an online assessment or practical task, a technical interview, and a CEO or final round.
  • The company aims to complete the process and make an offer within one week for strong candidates.
