About the job: Technical Presales Manager

We are currently looking for a dynamic and energetic person to fill the roll of Technical Presales Manager covering the Middle East Region to support sales in business development and supporting our customers for all their technical requirements.

In this multifaceted role, your technical prowess and collaborative spirit will be key to our success, making you an indispensable part of the team.

The new person should start at the beginning of September.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely responses on technical proposals, BOQs, cost estimates and quotations
  • Review RFPs and drawings, define the technical strategy, design BOQs within our scope of products and ensure compliance with tender specifications.
  • Prepare full technical submissions including compliance statements for projects when needed. This includes datasheets, 3rd party certificates, sample submission etc
  • Maintain tender documents and review standards and update our document when new revisions come out. When we launch a new product prepare the tender specs for them. Have this organised into sections to make it easy to amend or give relevant parts quickly when needed for a customer requirement.
  • Maintain strategic relationships with relevant teams in the authorized partner base.
  • Collaborate with the sales teams to identify value engineering opportunities, and optimize the total cost of ownership to win competitive bids.
  • Act as the technical authority in client-facing presentations, event presentations, attend and present at technical events, run workshops and proof of concepts, webinars and clarification meetings. Speak publicly at BICSI events or similar.
  • Create and update solutions presentations. These presentations, tailored for end-user customers and consultants, will highlight the strengths of HCS product lines, showcasing the latest in systems technologies. Your work will not only drive sales but also contribute new material to the broader technical community, enriching the collective knowledge base.
  • You will support sales and marketing with media activities, whether it's writing articles for publications, assisting with advertising, or preparing technical documentation such as design guides. Your contributions will enhance the visibility and credibility of HCS products, driving growth and innovation in the industry.
  • Work with sales teams on Business Development to approve HCS brand on customer vendor lists.
  • Support Sales with Channel Management by running certified training for channel partners and enabling them to become self-sufficient.
  • Maintaining BICSI RCDD and DCDC certificates.
  • Running Phy Fixx Intelligent Patching Software Trainings remotely and on site and providing Phy Fixx Software maintenance remotely and on site.Processing approvals with 3rd party laboratories when we need them (regionally) and processing vendor approvals for local entities (Etisalat, end users, consultants) when we need them.
  • Site supervisions on particular projects when needed.
  • Be responsible for reviewing cabling test reports on projects and issuing Warranty Certificates in line with the Site registration process.
  • In general, being prepared and able to respond to anything technical within same day/next day.
  • Speak clear English and optional Arabic.

Required Qualifications

  • 10 years of relevant experience with structured cabling, design, and installation to enterprise customers.
  • Preferably have worked for a cabling manufacturer previously in the EMEA region.
  • Working knowledge of LAN, WAN and Data Center cabling system designs and best practices.
  • Proven ability of approving a brand with a consultant/end user.
  • Proven awards for major projects based on your work.
  • Ability to travel including international travel.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

You Will Excite Us If You Have

  • Preferred certifications include BICSI RCDD, BICSI DCDC or other Data Center design certifications
  • Demonstrated experience with local structured cabling standards (e.g. ANSI/TIA 568, ISO 11801, ANSI/TIA-942-A)
  • Bachelor/Master’s Degree in Electronics, Telecommunication, Computer or appropriate field or equivalent job experience.
  • Good understanding of LAN/WAN systems and physical media requirements.
