Role Description

The Technical Manager is a part-time, hybrid role based in Dubai, with a mix of on-site work and work-from-home flexibility.

The Technical Manager will oversee the planning, implementation, and maintenance of the organization’s technical infrastructure, tools, and platforms supporting WIC Côte d’Ivoire’s investment and training activities.

Responsibilities include coordinating technical support for internal teams, ensuring systems are secure and reliable, and managing relationships with external vendors and technology partners.

The role involves leading small technical projects, supporting digital platforms for WIC Capital and WIC-Academy, and identifying opportunities to improve processes through technology.

The Technical Manager will collaborate closely with leadership, operations, and program teams to align technical solutions with organizational goals and user needs.

Qualifications

  • Strong Analytical Skills, with the ability to interpret data, evaluate technical options, and support evidence-based decisions.
  • Proven experience in Team Management, including coordinating cross-functional contributors and fostering collaborative, inclusive working environments.
  • Hands-on expertise in Technical Support, including troubleshooting systems, managing basic IT tools and platforms, and liaising with external service providers.
  • Background in Research and Development (R&D), such as evaluating new technologies, piloting digital solutions, and recommending improvements to existing tools and workflows.
  • Demonstrated Project Management skills, including planning, timeline management, risk mitigation, and clear communication of project status to stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in information technology, computer science, engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience working with mission-driven, investment, or entrepreneurial support organizations is an asset, especially in Africa or emerging markets.
  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, manage competing priorities, and communicate clearly in English; proficiency in French is a strong advantage.
