Role overview
The employer seeks an experienced Technical Architect Manager for its Design Department in Dubai.
The role oversees design deliverables, technical documentation, design coordination, and project management from design development through construction and handover.
Responsibilities
- Lead the technical design department and deliver quality design documentation on schedule.
- Review and approve architectural drawings, construction details, specifications, and technical submissions; prepare or modify AutoCAD drawings.
- Coordinate architectural work with structural, MEP, civil, and other disciplines; resolve technical conflicts.
- Ensure compliance with UAE building codes, local authority regulations, and project specifications.
- Review shop drawings, material submittals, technical proposals, and construction documentation.
- Coordinate technical requirements and design issues with clients, consultants, contractors, and authorities.
- Monitor progress, deliverables, quality, and deadlines; conduct site visits and resolve design or construction discrepancies.
- Guide the design team and improve design optimization, constructability, value engineering, standards, workflows, and quality controls.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in architectural design, technical coordination, or design management; previous UAE experience is mandatory.
- Strong architectural design, construction-detailing, technical-documentation, and building-regulation knowledge.
- Good working proficiency in AutoCAD is essential, including independent review, editing, and preparation of technical drawings.
- Revit proficiency and familiarity with BIM workflows are advantageous.
- Proven multidisciplinary design coordination and technical document management experience; knowledge of UAE authority approvals and regulations.
- Arabic is required; strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills are expected.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet tight deadlines, and maintain attention to detail and technical accuracy.
Pay
- Pay starts at AED 6,000 per month.
