Role Overview
Provides technical leadership and manages design and engineering activities for large-scale infrastructure and construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and direction throughout the project lifecycle.
- Review and manage technical aspects of large-scale infrastructure and construction projects.
- Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary engineering and technical teams.
- Review drawings, specifications, calculations, method statements, technical submissions, and engineering deliverables.
- Ensure designs and technical solutions comply with project specifications, codes, standards, and authority requirements.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders on technical matters.
- Manage design development, technical reviews, and design coordination.
- Identify technical issues, design conflicts, and constructability concerns and ensure timely resolution.
- Coordinate interfaces across civil, structural, MEP, utilities, roads, drainage, and other disciplines.
- Provide technical input during planning, construction, procurement, and value engineering.
- Review technical proposals and alternative designs; progress submissions and approvals in line with schedules.
- Support the Project Manager, monitor compliance, guide project engineers, participate in meetings, and maintain technical records.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum 20 years of relevant professional experience in infrastructure and construction projects.
- Proven large-scale infrastructure experience, preferably including roads, highways, utilities, drainage, earthworks, and civil works.
- Strong experience in technical management, engineering coordination, design review, and construction-related technical activities.
- Experience working on major projects with clients, consultants, contractors, and multiple stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of international engineering standards, specifications, construction methodologies, and project requirements.
- UPDA/MMUP accreditation is required.
- Strong knowledge of technical documentation, engineering approvals, and authority requirements.
- Excellent communication, coordination, analytical, and problem-solving skills; strong leadership and team-management capabilities.
Preferred Experience
- Qatar/GCC construction and infrastructure sector experience is highly desirable.
- Relevant experience may include roads and highways, utilities, stormwater and drainage, sewerage and water networks, earthworks, bridges, urban development, design-and-build, government infrastructure, and complex multidisciplinary interfaces.
