About This Role
Essential Experience & Skills
- 5+ years of hands-on **experience designing and building trading platforms**, including centralized exchanges (CEX), decentralized exchanges (DEX), or traditional capital markets systems.
- Strong expertise in developing high-performance order matching engines and order book architecture.
- Experience implementing market surveillance and trade monitoring systems to detect manipulation, spoofing, and wash trading.
- Deep understanding of digital asset custody and wallet infrastructure.
- Proven experience with low-latency, real-time systems using technologies such as WebSockets and event-driven architectures.
- Familiarity with crypto regulatory frameworks, including Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA), Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), and Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).
Preferred Experience
- Built a **cryptocurrency exchange platform** from concept to launch (0 to 1).
- Supported platforms processing more than USD 100 million in daily trading volume.
- Experience with smart order routing and liquidity aggregation across multiple venues.
- Knowledge of market making, quantitative trading, and algorithmic execution strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end technical architecture and development of a centralized cryptocurrency exchange.
- Design and oversee core trading components, including:
- Order book and matching engine
- Trade settlement and reconciliation systems
- Wallet and custody integrations
- Integrate institutional custody solutions such as Fireblocks, Copper, and BitGo.
- Prepare and contribute to the technical sections of regulatory license applications, particularly for VARA Exchange licensing.
- Manage token listing workflows, trading pair setup, and onboarding procedures.
- Implement and maintain market surveillance and compliance monitoring tools, including Solidus Labs and Chainalysis.
- Pay: AED30,000.00 - AED50,000.00 per month
Experience
