Role responsibilities
- Write high-quality, efficient, maintainable code; lead design and development and uphold engineering practices.
- Mentor the development team; prepare HLD/LLD documents for complex modules and review team code and test cases.
- Translate business needs into technical solutions and estimate feature effort; own end-to-end module and project delivery.
- Coordinate with QA, DevOps, and cross-functional teams to ensure quality delivery.
- Handle customer queries, provide root-cause analysis, and support live systems.
- Participate in sprint planning, stakeholder communication, and product and technical roadmap discussions.
Required technical skills
- Backend development using Core Java and J2EE; Spring or Struts; SOAP/REST web services; object-oriented programming and design patterns.
- MySQL; basic Oracle is preferred; Apache/Tomcat, HTTP, XML/JSON, and TCP/UDP.
- Git, Eclipse IDE, Sonar, JaCoCo, JUnit, JMeter, Linux, and Wireshark.
- Root-cause analysis, Agile methodology, code reviews, and static analysis; Maven, Jenkins, and Ansible are preferred for CI/CD.
Additional and preferred skills
- C, PHP, or shell scripting are good to have.
- AWS/Azure, microservices, and Selenium/ROBOT automation frameworks are useful familiarity areas.
- Solr/Elasticsearch, UI/UX concepts, and telecom domain experience are advantages.
- Strong problem-solving, customer handling, and effective communication across teams.
