Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Technical Inspector role based in Abu Dhabi.
The Technical Inspector is responsible for performing detailed inspections of aircraft, components, and related systems to verify airworthiness, regulatory compliance, and adherence to company maintenance standards.
Responsibilities include reviewing maintenance documentation, work orders, and technical records, and ensuring that all tasks are completed in accordance with approved data and procedures.
The role involves coordinating with maintenance teams, engineers, and logistics personnel to resolve discrepancies, support troubleshooting, and verify corrective actions.
The Technical Inspector also contributes to continuous improvement efforts by reporting recurring issues, supporting audits, and promoting safety and quality practices throughout the maintenance environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in aircraft maintenance inspection or quality assurance within an aviation MRO, OEM, or military environment.
- Strong knowledge of aviation regulations, maintenance manuals, technical publications, and inspection standards relevant to fixed-wing and/or rotary-wing platforms.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical data, maintenance documentation, and digital records accurately.
- Demonstrated focus on safety, quality, and compliance, with a structured approach to identifying and documenting discrepancies.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional maintenance, engineering, and logistics teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant technical qualification or certification in aviation maintenance (e.g., aircraft maintenance license, aviation engineering diploma, or equivalent).
- Familiarity with maintenance management systems, digital inspection tools, and standard office software.
- Ability to work on-site in Abu Dhabi, follow shift patterns as required, and adapt to operational and mission-driven priorities.
- Previous experience in military aviation, defense contracts, or regional MRO operations is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
