Job Summary

Technical Drawing & Drafting

• Prepare detailed joinery shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and installation drawings based on approved designs and project specifications.
• Produce technical drawings for custom furniture, cabinetry, wardrobes, kitchens, doors, wall paneling, reception counters, and other architectural joinery elements.
• Develop detailed sectional drawings, construction details, material specifications, and assembly details.
• Ensure drawings are accurate, complete, and suitable for manufacturing and installation.

Project Coordination

• Coordinate with Project Managers, Designers, Site Engineers, and Production Teams to understand project requirements.
• Review architectural and interior design drawings and identify any discrepancies or technical issues.
• Incorporate client comments, consultant feedback, and site requirements into revised drawings.
• Assist in resolving technical queries related to joinery production and installation.

Production Support

• Prepare cutting lists, material schedules, and production documentation as required.
• Coordinate with factory personnel to ensure drawings align with manufacturing capabilities and processes.
• Support CNC programming requirements by providing accurate technical information and dimensions.
• Ensure all approved drawings are issued to production teams in a timely manner.

Site Verification & Documentation

• Conduct site measurements and verification when required.
• Prepare as-built drawings following project completion.
• Maintain organized records of drawing revisions, approvals, and project documentation.
• Ensure document control procedures are followed throughout the project lifecycle.

Quality & Compliance

• Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications, company standards, and applicable industry requirements.
• Verify dimensions, materials, finishes, and hardware details before issuing drawings for production.
• Participate in design reviews and technical coordination meetings.
• Support quality assurance initiatives by minimizing drawing errors and rework.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Drafting Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of drafting experience in joinery, woodworking, furniture manufacturing, or interior fit-out projects.
• Experience preparing detailed shop drawings for custom joinery and architectural millwork.
• Familiarity with manufacturing and installation processes within a joinery factory environment.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Experience with 3D modeling software such as SketchUp, Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, or similar software is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of joinery construction details, materials, finishes, and hardware.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and interior design drawings.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong problem-solving and technical coordination skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Good organizational and document management skills.
