Role Overview
The Technology Business Partner (TBP) is the strategic technology advisor for an assigned business domain(s).
The TBP combines business knowledge, technical acumen, and delivery leadership to connect strategy with executable change.
The role looks across business capabilities, processes, and platforms to identify high-value opportunities, shape a coherent portfolio of software and data, and ensure project outcomes drive business value.
Barings currently has an opening for a TBP to cover various functions within Operations, such as portfolio services, trade operations, valuation, performance measurement, fund accounting, portfolio compliance, etc.
This role reports to the head of the Technology Business Partner team.

WHAT YOU BRING
- · Experience connecting business strategy to technology, data, product, transformation, or operating-model outcomes in investment management, financial services, or another complex, regulated environment.
- · Ability to earn credibility with senior business and technology leaders while constructively challenging requests, priorities, and proposed solutions.
- · Strong problem-framing, commercial judgment, and systems thinking, with the ability to balance value, risk, cost, architecture, controls, and delivery capacity.
- · Experience shaping roadmaps, portfolios, business cases, prioritization decisions, and measurable outcomes across multiple teams and initiatives.
- · Clear executive communication and the ability to create accountability and momentum without relying on direct authority.
- · Knowledge of investment management and the front-to-back investment lifecycle is preferred; curiosity and the ability to develop deep domain expertise are essential.
