***About the role***

The AM Lab is a UAE-based precision manufacturing company solving spare parts supply risk (DMSMS) for industrial operators across the GCC, using additive manufacturing and CNC machining to produce obsolete, long lead, and discontinued parts locally.

We're looking for a Head of Technical Business Development to own our sales pipeline and manage our key strategic partnerships, someone equally comfortable in a maintenance manager's workshop assessing a worn part and in a boardroom managing a senior commercial relationship.

This is a senior, hands-on individual contributor role reporting directly to the founders, with a path to building and leading a team as the business scales.

***What you'll do***

You'll run end-to-end business development across our target verticals, oil and gas, defence, aerospace MRO, heavy industry, and food and beverage.

That means securing facility visits through warm introductions, sitting down with maintenance and reliability leads to extract their most frequently replaced and longest lead time parts lists, and converting those conversations into structured quote packages and POs.

You'll photograph and document worn parts against OEM number plates, work with our manufacturing team to assess feasibility across CNC and AM (including a range of industrial-grade metal and polymer materials), and build account plans that move from first meeting to repeat business.

You'll also manage the technical and commercial cadence of several key strategic and channel partnerships, distribution partners, manufacturing/certification partners, and Tier-1 industrial accounts, making sure these relationships run on a consistent rhythm rather than depending entirely on founder time.

***What we're looking for***

A technical sales or BD background in industrial equipment, spare parts, or MRO, someone who has sold into procurement functions at O&G, aerospace, defense, or heavy industry operators before, and understands how vendor qualification, localization/ICV requirements, and long relationship-driven sales cycles actually work in this region. You should be comfortable reading a part drawing or tolerance spec well enough to have a credible technical conversation, even if you're not the engineer doing the actual quoting.

GCC market experience and an existing regional network are close to essential, this is a relationship-led market, and trust takes time to build from zero.

Arabic fluency is a strong plus, particularly for Oman and wider GCC account development.

You should be self directed and comfortable operating with founder level autonomy in a startup environment, since you'll often be building the process as you go rather than executing an existing playbook.

Experience specifically in oil and gas equipment distribution, aerospace MRO, or industrial spare parts brokering; familiarity with ISO 9001 / AS9100 vendor qualification requirements; existing relationships with procurement or maintenance leadership at O&G or industrial operators in the UAE or Oman.

Role Description This full-time, on-site Technical Business Development Manager role is based in Dubai.

The Technical Business Development Manager will identify and pursue new business opportunities, build relationships with key industrial and manufacturing clients, and promote The AM Lab’s digital manufacturing solutions across the region.

Day to day responsibilities include managing the sales pipeline, preparing proposals and technical presentations, conducting product demonstrations, and negotiating commercial terms.

The role also involves collaborating closely with engineering and operations teams to ensure accurate scoping of projects, successful onboarding of new customers, and timely delivery of complex manufacturing projects.

The Technical Business Development Manager will continuously analyze market trends, provide feedback on product enhancements, and contribute to strategic growth initiatives.
