Avocette seeks a Technical Business Analyst / Salesforce Functional Consultant to lead discovery, define requirements, and shape Salesforce solutions for clients.
The role connects business needs with Salesforce capabilities, performs configuration where appropriate, and works with developers on practical, maintainable solutions.
Discovery and solution delivery
- Lead workshops and interviews; document current and future processes, identify gaps, and recommend Salesforce-supported improvements.
- Translate business needs into requirements, user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria; assess standard Salesforce functionality and recommend configuration or enhancements.
- Configure custom objects, fields, validation rules, Flow, page layouts, and permission sets where appropriate.
- Collaborate with developers and solution architects, clarify requirements, review designs, and identify dependencies, risks, and impacts across processes, data, configuration, and integrations.
- Support data mapping and migration planning, data quality, and validation; develop test scenarios, support functional testing, and coordinate UAT.
- Manage requirement changes and traceability, prepare functional documentation and user guidance, and facilitate stakeholder decisions and handover.
Required qualifications
- Strong business analysis experience on client-facing technology implementation projects and hands-on Salesforce configuration experience.
- Experience with Salesforce Flow, custom objects, validation rules, and the security model; strong understanding of the Salesforce data model.
- Ability to lead workshops and convert complex or incomplete business needs into actionable requirements.
- Experience creating user stories, acceptance criteria, process maps, and functional specifications.
- Ability to assess standard Salesforce capabilities and determine when custom development or technical review is needed.
- Experience supporting functional testing, UAT, and business stakeholder sign-off.
- Clear writing and presentation skills, sound judgment, constructive challenge, priority management, and collaborative working style.
Nice to have
- Experience with Experience Cloud or OmniStudio; knowledge of data migration, APIs, SQL, or integration concepts.
- Experience with user training, change management, and adoption; Salesforce Business Analyst, Administrator, or Platform App Builder certification.
- Consulting or delivery experience across multiple client organizations and Azure DevOps experience.
