Technical Business Analyst

Role overview

Business and technical analysis

• Gather and document business and technical requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Conduct gap analysis, impact assessments, and feasibility studies.
• Create wireframes, mockups, prototypes, workflow diagrams, and functional models.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers, product owners, and engineers to improve usability.
• Support business process modeling, workflow analysis, and operational improvement.
• Facilitate stakeholder meetings and requirements workshops; define user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows.

Coding and technical collaboration

• Work with APIs, databases, system integrations, and SaaS platforms to assess technical feasibility and requirements alignment.
• Assist with data analysis, validation, troubleshooting, testing, and defect resolution.
• Collaborate with QA teams on test scenarios and validating results.
• Support release readiness, implementation planning, and production support.

Agile, delivery, and improvement

• Act as liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams during Agile delivery.
• Participate in stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and backlog grooming.
• Help prioritize features and enhancements by business value and technical complexity.
• Coordinate user acceptance testing with business and development teams.
• Maintain technical documentation, process workflows, and user guides.
• Identify process inefficiencies and recommend automation or system enhancements.
• Analyze trends, system usage, and performance metrics to support data-driven decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Computer Science, Healthcare Administration, or related field; alternatively, associate degree with 5+ years of relevant professional experience.
• 5+ years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst, Software Developer, or similar hybrid role.
• Coding background in Python, JavaScript, SQL, Angular, Node.js, C#, or similar languages.
• Hands-on experience with databases, APIs, and system integrations.
• Experience collaborating with SaaS application teams on enhancements and support.
• Deep understanding of Agile methods such as Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe, and experience in Agile teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
