Program Overview

Verisk's 2027 Summer Internship Program provides real-world experience, professional development, and networking opportunities.

The program is a paid, full-time internship lasting ten weeks from June through August 2027.

Interns follow a hybrid schedule and must work in the office at least three days per week throughout the summer.

Hiring locations include Boston, Holmdel, Jersey City, and Lehi.

What You Could Learn

  • Participate in daily and weekly scrum meetings.
  • Apply software development life cycle concepts to improve product quality, processes, or user experience.
  • Contribute to full-stack implementation, testing, and deployment with guidance from experienced developers and engineers.
  • Build and improve customer-facing web interfaces with React and TypeScript.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, QA, UX, and Product teams on usable, maintainable, and reliable software.

Qualifications

  • Be enrolled in a bachelor's or master's program or bootcamp with relevant computer science, data structures, logic, computation, or related coursework.
  • Graduate in December 2027 or May or June 2028.
  • Be available to begin on June 2, 2027 and complete the full ten-week program.
  • Have basic knowledge of programming terminology, web or application design, and data management.
  • Be eager to learn, take on new projects, and adapt to changing technology.
  • Be engaged, focused, organized, detail-oriented, and able to solve problems.

Technology Exposure

  • Potential technology assignments may include Python, C#, HTML/CSS, JavaScript or TypeScript, Angular, SQL, AWS, and Git.
  • Prior experience with the listed technologies is helpful but not required, and interns will receive training.

Program Schedule

  • The internship is scheduled for ten weeks from June through August 2027.
  • The program requires 40 hours per week and begins June 2, 2027.

Work Arrangement

  • Interns must be located near their assigned office.
  • The hybrid schedule requires at least three days in the office each week.

Recruitment Process

  • The process includes a technical assessment, recruiter screening call, and final live virtual interview.
  • The technical assessment includes coding in a language of the candidate's choice and basic multiple-choice questions.
