Team Lead System Analyst Programmer (FT), MFRE40272IS

Position Overview

Primary Responsibilities

• Supervise, assign, evaluate, coach, mentor, and develop programmer analysts.
• Recruit and onboard staff, manage performance and employee relations, and allocate resources to meet departmental priorities.
• Gather requirements, evaluate feasibility, develop project plans, and coordinate with stakeholders, users, vendors, and IT leadership.
• Lead software analysis, design, development, testing, documentation, implementation, and post-implementation support.
• Review technical work products and ensure compliance with development standards, quality practices, security requirements, and regulatory standards.
• Provide technical direction for architecture, applications, databases, data models, workflow integration, and development methodologies.
• Resolve complex technical issues and oversee production application support.
• Coordinate implementations with Network Services, Operations Support, Cybersecurity, and other departments.
• Monitor project progress, staff productivity, and performance metrics and contribute to technology and strategic planning.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, is required.
• Four years of progressively responsible systems analysis, systems design, application development, programming, or related systems development experience is required.
• Experience in web-based and cloud environments is required.
• Experience with at least one of Crystal Reports, SQL Server, or ad hoc reporting tools is required.
• Strong proficiency in modern programming languages and software development practices is required.
• Experience with systems analysis, database design, software architecture, and application development is required.
• Experience in project or team leadership and supervision is preferred.
• Experience with enterprise applications, Ellucian Colleague, or Business Objects is preferred.

Technical Skills

• The role requires analysis of complex technical and business requirements, solution identification, and problem resolution.
• The role uses software development, testing, documentation, coding standards, quality assurance, and project management practices.
• Technical work includes application design, database structures, data models, workflow integration, and cloud or web-based systems.

Working Conditions

• The position uses PCs and application servers in a general office environment.
• Working hours may vary and may include unusual times.

Compensation

• Starting salary begins at $84,672 and depends on education and experience.
